Once I had a possibility to watch a child running around in the park. He was barefoot on the grass. His grandfather was looking after him, and from time to time tried to warn the child to put his sandals on, because there could have been broken glass in the field. The child was ignoring his grandfather’s warnings, and continued running barefoot. A conflict between the two generations was clearly seen.

During his life, the grandfather had probably faced broken glass more than one time and come to appropriate conclusions, whereas the child hadn’t experienced it yet, and couldn’t understand what all the talk was about. Meanwhile, the grass is so nice and soft…

Conclusion: our wisdom comes together with our experience, but the same wisdom can also stop us. Grandfather probably never experienced fresh morning grass with his feet again…
